Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Kumiko, this coaster is meticulously crafted from resilient New Zealand Totara wood. After repeated trials, we perfected the design using eight interlocking wooden strips that form the coaster’s outer frame.
The center is filled with locally sourced timber, inlaid with abalone shell patterns in various shapes, creating a piece that blends intricate craftsmanship with natural beauty.
